High School Co-op at Lamb and Light Publishing™
Hi Students,
Thinking about a future in writing, publishing, marketing, graphic design, entrepreneurship, or education?
You might be in the write place!
Lamb and Light Publishing™ offers Ontario high school students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience working on real faith-based publishing projects.
What could you do?
As a Junior Creative & Marketing Assistant, you could work on projects such as:
Designing book covers
Creating book illustrations
Taking photographs for books and promotional materials
Typesetting
Creating, filming and editing social media posts and videos
Creating author media kits
Working on our website
Writing book blurbs
Writing scripts for social media videos
Beta reading manuscripts
Where will you work?
Your co-op placement may take place at either of these locations:
Lamb and Light Publishing™ — 92 Caplan Avenue, Suite 787, Barrie
Barrie Public Library (Painswick) — 48 Dean Avenue, Barrie
Who would be a good fit?
We are especially interested in hosting students who enjoy:
English & Writing
Business & Marketing
Graphic Design & Media
Technology & Digital Communications
Experience with graphic-design software, page-layout/typesetting software, or video-editing programs is a big plus. Ideally, you should already be comfortable using these types of programs independently.
You'll work closely with Michele Gowanlock, who is the owner and writer behind Lamb and Light Publishing™. She is also a teacher and will be available throughout your placement to provide feedback and support.
Everyone is Welcome
Students of all faiths and backgrounds are welcome.
