Frequently Asked Questions

  • No. Submission does not guarantee acceptance.

Lamb & Light Publishing™ reviews all submissions at its discretion and reserves the right to decline any work without providing a reason.

Only submissions that are accepted for review will proceed to the paid service stage.

  • No. You do not need an agent to submit your audiobook for a beta listening & quality review.

We accept direct submissions from creators. You may submit your work yourself through our website without representation.

  • Hiring me saves you significant time, protects your budget, and helps you catch audio flaws before publication. Here is exactly how this service adds value to your project:

    • Minimizes the Risk of Retail Rejections: Platforms like Audible (ACX) and Spotify have strict quality standards. They can reject files with distracting background noise, heavy breathing, or sudden volume jumps. Fixing these issues after a failed upload delays your release and wastes money. I help you catch them before you submit.

    • More Affordable Than Full Proof-Listening: Traditional text-to-audio proof-listening is expensive. If you already trust your text accuracy and just need to know if the audio sounds clean, professional, and engaging, my service gives you exactly what you need at a fraction of the cost.

    • Reduces Narrator Retake Fees: Catching a flat tone, awkward pacing, or character voice inconsistencies early allows you to request adjustments before the final mastering phase. This helps prevent you from paying expensive studio retake fees down the road.

    • Gives You Back Hours of Your Time: Reviewing an audiobook with deep focus takes double to triple the actual runtime. Outsourcing this to me lets you focus on marketing your book or writing your next project, while I deliver an organized, time-stamped fix list.

  • This service is ideal for authors, narrators, and publishers who want clear, structured feedback on their audiobook before it is released to the public.

    It is especially helpful for:

    • independent authors self-publishing on platforms like Amazon

    • narrators or voice artists producing AI-narrated or human-narrated audiobooks

    • publishers who want a final quality check before release

    • creators who want an unbiased listener perspective rather than feedback from friends or family

    • anyone looking to improve clarity, pacing, emotional delivery, and overall listening experience before publication

This service is designed for anyone who wants their audiobook to feel professional, polished, natural, and engaging from the listener’s point of view before it reaches an audience.

Human audiobook beta listeners are especially important as AI-generated narration becomes more common, because they can catch issues that automated systems and AI tools may overlook.
